Chelsea is a full time diagnostic radiographer for Queensland Xray.

After graduating from the University of South Australia in 2005 with a Bachelor of Medical Radiations, Chelsea began work as a graduate imaging technologist with Benson Radiology, South Australia’s largest private medical imaging provider. Benson Radiology quickly expanded her clinical skill set to include proficiency and study in Mammography, Computed Tomography and Bone Mineral Densitometry (DEXA).

In 2007, she commenced a 2ic branch manager role, which she held for 5 years, in that time becoming more passionate about leadership and the corporate nature of the profession. She was a shift worker, roving radiographer and student mentor, furthering her business knowledge with a diploma of Human Resource Management in 2012.

While working for Benson Radiology, Chelsea was also fortunate to work as a casual trauma radiographer at the Royal Adelaide Hospital. Two years in the emergency department provided a change of scenery, where she was part of a team responsible for imaging critically ill, and acute trauma patients.

As her passion and enthusiasm towards athletics grew, Chelsea wanted to further her long jump aspirations. A move to Brisbane was imminent, as was the beginning of a new start with Queensland Xray, having the privilege to establish their newest imaging practice at Brookwater in February 2013. Three and a half years later, Chelsea is thankful for her opportunities at Queensland Xray, putting MRI training on hold to focus on her long jump dream.
